Middle East Asia sparks once again due to Saudi attack on Yemen
Aerial attacks started on last Thursday under Saudi leadership on Shia Hudi rebels’ areas in Arab country Yemen reaching on the verge of Civil War. With the decamping of President Abid Rabbu Mansoor Hadi out of country, situations in Yemen are turning from bad to worse. Situations have worsened due to serious attacks against Shia Hudi rebels, group of Shias in the country, by Saudi Arabia to prevent their increasing influence. Saudi Arabia has claimed that it has disabled the Air Force of Hudi rebels on the very first day. It should be noted that these rebels have captured capital city Sana and surrounding areas. Saudi Ambassador in US, Adil-al-Zuber has said that presently the action is confined to aerial attacks on various targets yet all possible will be done to save the internationally recognized Yemen Government. As Yemen President Abid Rabbu Mansoor Hadi had sought help from other countries including Saudi Arabia, this military mission has been started. Soon after the Arab Revolution of 2011, Yemen is facing conflict between Shias and Sunnis, wherein organizations like Al-Qaeda and Islamic State are supporting the Sunnis. Meanwhile traditional of Sunni majority Saudi Arabia and main accomplice of Hudi Milisia, Iran has criticized Saudi Arabia and accused that Saudi attacks are on the pretext of the US. Iran has warned that Yemen can divide due the dangerous step of Saudi. Hudi Milisia controlled channel displayed the pictures of cities after Saudi attacks, wherein everywhere dumps of corpses and injured people are visible. Now Jordan has also joined Saudi Arabia associates in this war against rebels in Yemen. More than 10 countries like United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar besides Jordan have joined this alliance of Gulf countries. US President Barak Obama has announced to provide military and intelligence support to this alliance. Iran has uttered its support to Hudi Milisia in Yemen. It is believed that Hudi rebels involved in dislocating the government in Yemen are supported by Iran. US favouring President Abid Rabbu Mansoor Hadi has to decamp due to leading of Shia Hudi rebels. Attacks of international alliance in Yemen under Saudi leadership have created possibility of Islamic World plunging in long Shia-Sunni war. Iran is playing a prime role in war against extremist Sunni group maintaining ‘Khilafat’ (Islamic State-IS) in Iraq and Syria. IS, Hudi and Al-Qaeda have become a source of violence and terrorism in the entire area due to their strict ideology. Question arises that will Hudi, IS and remaining extremist groups be defeated? It would have been possible if all countries including Saudi Arabia and Iran would have uniformity against both extremists Shias and Sunnis, while there is real fear of these two sects of Islam coming face to face in present situation. Anyway, impact of recent war in West Asia is seen in the oil market also. Crude oil prices have gone up by one and half dollar per barrel with the Saudi attacks. It can be expected this war should conclude as soon as possible achieving its objective to end the existing extremism soon. It wouldn’t have much economic effects, if the conflict is limited to Yemen having no extension, but we are bound to face the increase in oil prices.
