Even critics of Modi will admit he has boosted the pride of every Indian

I am neither a blind follower of Prime Minister Narendra Modi nor his compulsive critic. I neither admire him blindly nor seek faults in him. I openly speak whatever I like and whatever I dislike. Even his critics will admit the fact that Narendra Modi has presented a new image of India before the world after assuming office. He has made Indians feel proud. Or else India had an image abroad of being a country of snake-charmers where elephants walk on road. The red carpet welcome of Modi in various countries of the world including the US is spectacular. This welcome is not stage managed one. He has always talked for the Indian interests, keeping the nation first. The red carpet welcome accorded to him recently has not been accorded to any other PM. Even Dr. Manmohan Singh considered a pet of US was never given such a welcome. India was big then, having a large market but despite all these he could not leave a mark on the world stage. Though Narendra Modi has to face criticism in India, within own country Modi is being criticized and questions are asked frequently about the Good Days he had promised? Having faced a shameful defeat in the polls, the irritated Congress may be naming him as aerial or NRI PM yet they also admit that Modi has given every Indian in the world a new identity in his own nation.

CEOs of the companies like Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Apple are not common men. At present they have the best minds in the world and run these millionaire companies. It’s not easy to talk with these stalwarts in the same wave length. You need equal capacity, equal knowledge to talk at their level. PM has tried to connect India with the Digital World of today through his Silicon Valley visit and if these stalwart companies are ready today to help in Digital India it’s just because of Narendra Modi’s efforts.

Rajiv Gandhi was the first Prime Minister to talk about the computer. After him it’s Modi to move ahead the vision of Rajiv. Modi has an art of touching the heart of the audience besides being a good orator and giving an impressive speech. During his visit to Facebook headquarter, Modi alongwith CEO Mark Zuckerberg answered to the questions of people there. During the question-answers, Mark mentioned that there was a time when people called to buy Facebook. I was also in trouble. Then I visited Steve Jobs. He told me that you must visit a temple if you go to India. I visited India and also a temple. I was shown the way asked at the temple and see where I am now. Zuckerberg coloured his profile picture in Indian tricolour to support Digital India. Millions of Facebook users changed their profile picture in tricolour. Doesn’t it depict the significance, honour of India and the temple? During the course of question-answer Mark asked about his mother. Modi told him candidly – I belong to a poor family. I have sold tea in my childhood. My father had passed away. My mother is above 90 years of age and still she does all her work. While we were young, my mother used to wash utensils at homes to earn livelihood and feed us. He was emotional while saying it. The fact touched the heart of hundreds of Facebook employees present there; most of them were of Indian origin. Modi has such quality that he talks in such a way every person connects himself with him. At the same time parents of Mark Zuckerberg were present in the hall, they stood up in his honour. A question rose there: why should India look towards the world with a hope? Modi replied – India is the largest democracy and the fastest growing economy of the world. If you ask an Indian during the last one and a quarter year, his approach has changed. He looks towards India with a feel of much pride. India is emerging as a better option of investment. We want to make India an eight trillion to 20 trillion economy.

On the concluding day of his US visit, Modi strongly targeted Pakistan in SAP Centre. Addressing 18 thousand people of Indian origin there; he said that debate is going on over the good and bad terrorism in the world. Terror is terror. We are making the world understand the terrorism and the world is raising questions only about us. Terrorism may reach any part of the world. It is the responsibility of the UN to clearly define the terrorism so that the world may decide the path to proceed and there is peace in the world. He said that the UN has not defined the terrorism in the lest70 years. You can imagine how many years it will take to end the terrorism in this way. I have written to all the nations of the world and appealed to take strict action on terrorism.

At last I would like to mention that while Modi was in the US; at the same time Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Shareef was also there to address the United Nations. Now hear what the Pakistani media reports on the visit of their PM: A Pakistani newspaper mentioned Modi as a rock star and a clever politician and reported that he was welcomed as a rock star everywhere in the US. Another reputed newspaper of Pakistan “The Nation” while openly praised PM Modi in its editorial, cursed own prime minister in this context. The paper reports that Modi from India is attending various celebrations and programmes and expressing his views, while our prime minister (Shareef) has just one platform of UN to plead his view, freely The editorial has also reported Modi’s visit to Google and Facebook. The paper asks that while Modi is inviting the CEO of Silicon Valley to invest in India what is our prime minister doing?
